Greetings Abby, Rosie, & Fellow Abby Travis Fans!

Here's a little information about me if you're interested.

Hello, I'm Michael Holloway from South Australia. I'm a Postgraduate student at my University where I am working on a thesis about the empowerment of women through music and magic. This thesis will involve a novel I am writing entitled Chords In The Storm and a critical exegesis on fantasy literature with a musical element, most notably The Spellsong Cycle novels by L.E Modesitt Jr., as well as a critical analysis of the life histories and music of a select group of musicians whose contribution to the empowerment of female rock artists has been revolutionary. I had a little time off last year because of illness and depression, but I'm getting back into the swing of things this year.

I am a huge fan of the wonderful Abby Travis and I have all her albums, The Abby Travis Foundation, Cut Throat Standards And Black Pop, and Glitter Mouth and I love them all. I even got to see Abby perform with The Bangles here in Adelaide, South Australia in 2005 when they came Down Under. It was a magical night and my very first live concert experience! I hope there will be more and that Abby and/or The Bangles will tour here again.

Abby has probably already guessed this, but this is Michael from MySpace and Abby sent me a wonderful T-Shirt for my review of Glitter Mouth. I'll hopefully be here for the chat with Abby and although I joined the forum a few days ago, I'm kind of shy and didn't want to be the first person to post. So, it's great to have Abby start the forums with a post, and I will be here to discuss all of Abby's wonderful accomplishments.

I haven't listened to Lies yet but I hope to soon, and it would be great if the new song appeared on a new Abby Travis CD! Downloads don't always work on my computer anyway.

Hey Abby

I just checked the World Time Clock online and unless I've messed up (which is likely given my poor Maths skills), I think the calculations show that if you're doing the chat at Thursday 7:00PM Pacific Time where you are in the States, then it would be 1:30PM Friday here in Adelaide. I'm on semester break from university, and my afternoon should be free, so I think I can actually make the chat. Hopefully I'll see you tomorrow!
